New Plains Review at the University of Central Oklahoma – the Spring 2016 issue has three of my Belmont Sketches, short nonfiction pieces on the city neighborhood where I live. Other sketches have appeared in literary magazines such as Gravel, Origami Journal, and Bangalore Review.
The online magazine Hot Metal Bridge at the University of Pittsburgh hotmetalbridge.org has my nonfiction piece “Death of the Sire,” on the demise of an electrical engineer.
My short story “The Proof” appears in the December issue of the Canadian online magazine Origami Journal. LINK Two young professionals A and B meet at a weeknight social event. They discover they have so much in common that A = B. The event winds down as they urgently solve the new equation A + B = C.
My grandfather Pierre H. Boucheron published magazine articles and left many unpublished manuscripts. I edited some of these as articles about him. “A Businessman Aloft” which he wrote in 1939 appears today in the online magazine Across the Margin. Tomorrow, the same magazine will publish “Greenland Assignment” from his book by that title. And the next day, they will run “The Captain,” which goes from 1943 to the end of his life. He was a captain in the United States Naval Reserve.
My essay “Biographical Radiogram” is posted in The Tishman Review, online at tishmanreview.com. Actually, most of the essay was written by my grandfather, Pierre Boucheron, a radio pioneer. He wrote about his work as the director of advertising at RCA in the 1920s in New York.
My short story “Baxter” is posted online in the June issue of Origami Journal, website origamijournal.com. The life story of a man in a few pages.
The Bangalore Review for May has my article on Patrick Geddes, the Scottish town planner and author of Cities in Evolution, published in 1915, a forecast of the century that followed. bangalorereview.com
Milo Review at themiloreview.com has a new issue with my essay “Trophies,” taken from a longer piece on childhood in North Syracuse, New York, ca. 1960.

Three short sketches of the Belmont neighborhood are in the current issue of Gravel, gravelmag.com.
